Each book has two stories, and in this one we meet Jacob at the seaside with grandad. He gets frustrated and angry because his sand castle keeps falling down. Grandad helps him think of a solution. In the second story, Alice is playing a game with marbles and can't get it to come right. All on her own she goes through the pieces of the game and finds where she has gone wrong herself. Good psychology and simple sentences make the stories approachable. Useful for PSHE and Citizenship lessons.
