Don't climb out of the window tonight ISBN: 9780416186291

Seven year old Richard McGilvray wrote this story which was then imaginatively and densely illustrated by Alan Snow. The theme is simple - all the horrid things that might be outside if one were to climb out of the window at night: crocodiles in the pond, goblins in the grass, Frankenstein's gang in the bushes, and so forth. It's much safer inside tucked up in bed. And it had better be in bed too, because there appears to be an alligator under it! The little girl seems more interested in all the goings-on outside than frightened of them. Delicious stuff!
