The playground can be a scary place, particularly if it is full of bigger children. When the two little chickens arrive with mother hen for the first time, everyone is friendly and encouraging. But each time they are asked to join in they say, 'We're just little chickens'. A helpful beaver provides his big flat tail for their first trip down the slide, and soon they are happily going it alone. The 'friends' are all animals, the playground has lots of good detail, and the pictures are warmly encouraging.
