When Becky's teacher asks the class to write an essay on 'My dad is...', Becky has a problem. She doesn't have a dad. Nor does she have a grandad or an uncle. All week she asks questions and writes different essays about a dad she has imagined, but her final effort is the best. Her essay is titled, 'My dad is...my mum'. Her mother does everything a dad would anyway, and the teacher thinks her essay is the very best. Excellent illustrations in both colour and black and white add much to a truly imaginative story.
