The hospital never actually appears in this book, but it is about two people who need hospital and don't want to go. Big Jim and Little Jim, grandfather and grandson, each has a medical problem, but because Big Jim doesn't like doctors and hospitals, Little Jim refuses to go too. Grandma uses psychology on both, making each agree separately for the sake of the other, and at the end we see them back home, fully recovered, enjoying their close friendship again. Wonderful, untidy pictures of life in a friendly neighbourhood of terraced houses.
