When grandfather dies, he leaves the little boy his parrot called Titanic and a chest full of treasures. He also leaves him the quest for Atlantis. 'Atlantis is all around you...you have to learn how to look for it.' The little boy looks everywhere, but begins to feel very low, and when Titanic, who is too old to fly, falls down the stairs, he and the little boy share 'the awful loss of someone we had loved'. But then, just as they have reached their lowest point, they see Atlantis. It has been there all the time.
