A particularly good book for dealing with death in a general way. There is a simple definition of death, an explanation of funerals, quite a bit about the emotions people feel and the problem of guilt. In a general way, we learn that different cultures handle death and the afterlife in different ways, but that most have a concept of the soul. Warm, reassuring pictures (and a cuddly dog) add to the sympathetic nature of the book, as do a list of further books on the subject, another of useful organisations, and a page of information on how to use the book. Honest and detailed.
