When Old Roly, their cat, dies the children are sad, but mum comforts them by explaining that he will always be 'in and around you somewhere'. Time must pass and ordinary life be lived before the family can contemplate another pet. But when Sausage appears at the door, the time is right to love again, and while the children soon let the new cat into their lives, they know that Roly will be with them always as well. Beautifully written, and with senstive watercolour pictures that show an ordinary family going about their daily lives, this will provide comfort in abundance.
