This is a real family - dad and two little boys - who are grieving over their recently lost wife and mum. An understanding teacher at school helps them grow their mum's favourite flowers in the school yard, friends give them hugs, and when they go to visit mum's grave, they have a cry together. The three of them are very close, and mum seems never far from their thoughts. The family who allowed the authors to share their grief must have found the picture-taking painful. I trust it was also cathartic, as I feel it will be for those reading it.
