Nothing is mentioned in this stunning picture book about the fact that the little boy in the story uses a wheelchair. The chair is part of him, a natural part that he accepts and gets on with his active life. His life is shared by his pet dragon, Zibbo, and his friends who love playing with Zibbo too. He and Zibbo do everything together – laugh and sing, go to the library for books, play pirates, dance and draw pictures, eat and sleep. And with their friends they play games and go to parties (where Zibbo’s fire-breathing tendencies sometimes get him into difficulties), and the little boy tells us that while Zibbo may be different, they are the best of friends and when he is with him, he knows that ‘ANYTHING is possible because Zibbo is…AMAZING.’ The little boy is amazing too, just the way he is – and we are all as well. Wonderful illustrations that are such fun in a fantastic way that Zibbo seems as real as the children who love him. A story with a moral so subtle no one will know they have been taught one.
