Charming and funny with lots of brilliant pictures of triangular trees and a gingerbread cottage, this story is about a little girl who learns how to use a potty and is very proud of herself. Goldilocks lives in the cottage in a wood with her Mummy and Daddy, and one day she decides that she doesn’t like wearing nappies anymore. This necessitates the finding of ‘big girl’ pants – ‘not too frilly…not too silly…but just right’. Because Goldilocks is clever, she knows that she also has to find a potty – one not too big nor too small, but just the right size. Then she discovers that sometimes she really believes she needs a wee – but doesn’t – and sometimes thinks she doesn’t need one when she does. Oh dear. When she gets it right, she’s justly pleased, as are her parents and the family of cats that live with them. Congratulations all round. The lively pictures in this book are a treat, and there are constant reminders of the original three bears’ story. Great fun!
