Simple sentences and large print make this one easily read. Specific stories of children being bullied in different ways are followed by suggestions on how to cope, who to talk to, friends' perspectives on the bullying, and how the particular problem was solved. One of the stories is from the point of view of the bully. Others deal with a child suddenly ignored by her former friends; another is about a boy who talks differently to his classmates because he has moved to a new school; a third deals with older girls who are supposedly 'playing' with a younger one who feels she is being bullied; another is about a child who is bullied about having nits; Jade's mum packs her special lunches that the other children make fun of, and Shelly, who is bright, suddenly starts getting into trouble because she is teased about being 'teacher's pet'. Each of these stories has a resolution. There is a short playlet at the end that will be useful for schools, as will a glossary, a list of further information and websites, an index, and some notes for parents and teachers.
