Down in the ocean deep live lots of little fish and creatures, and they all love to play games together - all except Shrimpy. Everything worries and scares him. Turtle wants him to play hide and seek, but what if he gets lost? How about a game of catch, says Crab, but Shrimpy is afraid the ball will squash him. And so it goes until one day he realises that no one is asking him to play any more. This makes him sad and lonely until he looks around and sees that no one has been hurt through playing games, no one has been lost or squashed, and that he has been missing out on all the fun. So he takes a deep breath and joins in and finds it all amazing. His friends are delighted and join in a chorus of 'You're not wimpy! Hooray for Shrimpy!' The vivid illustrations glow with colour and life, and the undersea world is depicted as the happiest of places.
