Oh Dear Geoffrey ISBN: 9781848773479

Geoffrey is a young giraffe, and he is so very tall and his legs are so very 'wibbly-wobbly' and 'bendy-buckly' that he is often clumsy. Sometimes he falls flat: 'Oh dear, Geoffrey!' He's a bit of a menace to other animals, but he badly wants to make friends. When he falls into the watering hole, he comes out cross and muddy and heads to his favourite tree where he can reach the delicious leaves. On his way, he sees there are small monkeys clinging to his legs. They want him to let them climb up his neck so they can reach the tree easily too. Bright blue birds are also welcoming in the tree, and Geoffrey learns that in spite of his clumsiness, he has friends that see the world as he does - 'high as the sky...and as far as the stars'. The illustrations are lovely; full of paint splattered backgrounds and friendly animal faces, they zing with colour and life.
