All kinds of bodies ISBN: 9781857075601
Published by Tango Books, 2002
While this is all about the body (and there is a fold-out skeleton at the end with labelled parts), the book really is about all the wonderful differences in bodies - thin ones, large ones, stocky one and tall ones, different kinds of hands and feet, faces, eyes and noses. Some people use crutches or wheelchairs or prosthetics, some turn red in the sun and others brown. Bodies change and get older. The really imaginative strength of the book lies in its technology. Highly original lift-the-flaps of all sorts make this fun. The pages and flaps and fold out bits are strong, but will need some supervision with very young children. Superbly produced.
