Mummy Bumble is understanding, and when he finally explains what the problem is, she comes up with an interesting solution, a mnemonic to help him remember. Ms Al-Ghani is an experienced specialist advisory teacher and autism trainer, as well as working with dyslexic children, and her methods have a proven track record. At the back of the book there is an interesting method of teaching children phonics, as well as a really lovely 'song' for learning sounds of letters. I'm going to try it with my grandchildren! Ms Al-Ghani's son, Haitham is the illustrator of the book, and they make a good team. His comic-style paintings are cheerful and in-your-face bright.
