Oliver's problem with the baby in his family is that she cries - all the time, not just occasionally: 'Oliver Donnington Rimington-Sneep was hoping and wishing the baby would sleep'. But she doesn't, so he hops into his toy aeroplane and flies off to imaginative lands where he visits polar bears, zebras, rhinos, tigers and monkeys and more. But he notices that at night they cuddle together as families, and when he hears the baby crying in the distance, he flies home. Just like the animals, he 'huddled and cuddled the baby to sleep'. Wonderful, imaginative pictures full of animals of all sorts will appeal tremendously, and the rhyming text is great fun.
