Iris and Isaac ISBN: 9781848950917
Published by Little Tiger Press, 2010
This one is about friends falling out and then making up again. Iris and Isaac are polar bears, but they are NOT FRIENDS. Isaac has spoiled Iris's snow nest, and they go off in opposite directions in a big huff. But there are so many lovely things to see that each of them begins to realise that they wish the other was there to share them. When they see each other in the distance, they joyfully run together, and make friends again by constructing a snow nest they can share. A lovely parable about the importance of sharing and of friendship. This is another beautiful picture book by the 2009 winner of CILIP's Kate Greenaway Medal and it makes a worthy successor to 'Harris Finds His Feet'.
