The little girl has two fathers: one she calls Dad, and the other she calls Pa. From the pictures it is obvious that Mum has remarried - to Pa - while Dad appears to have stayed single after the original family split up. The two fathers are very different, and the little girl glories in their differences. Dad likes gadgets while Pa likes plants; Dad likes to fish while Pa is a fish in the sense that he likes to swim; Dad and the little girl play sports while Pa and the little girl play games; Dad likes classical music but Pa is into pop; Dad paints pictures while Pa paints walls. The little girl shares in all these interests and learns lots from both fathers. Most of all, she knows she is greatly loved by both, and that is the important thing.
The pictures show us lots of happy times with both dads and the little girl and explain vividly the relationships in pictorial terms.
