A cheerfully upbeat book about going to the dentist - why one's teeth are important, the importance of proper brushing, the fact that one shouldn't worry about going to the dentist (even though friends may tease or tell horror stories), what happens in the waiting room, some of the equipment the dentist uses, procedures such as cleaning the teeth, checking for cavities, an x-ray, and having a filling. The positive is emphasised, and in the two pages of information for parents and carers, that aspect is emphasised too - the importance of making a visit to the dentist a positive thing. The illustrations are fun and full of good information that matches well with the text. A list of further reading is included as well as some further resources for adults.
