Tiggy isn't very pleased with herself. As a pig, she has short legs, a blunt nose, rough, hairy skin, and she's - well - fat! Her friend, Bert the pixie, tries to convince her she is fine as she is, but it is only a bit of Bert's magic that lets her try having long legs, a nose like an elephant's trunk and lots of pink fur - none of which seems right. She works out for herself that she likes eating too much to want to be 'thin like a snake'. In the end, she discovers she likes everything about being a pig - it's 'cool' - and fun. The rhyming couplets are fun too, as are the charming and comical illustrations. An excellent parable about being happy in one's own skin.
