Glowing, imaginative water colour illustrations accompany this lovely fable about Little Giant who has an invisible man, Jabber-Jabber, who is always telling him that he is hopeless and will never be able to do anything. Little Giant goes on a journey to visit his giant aunts, and Jabber-Jabber goes along. He whispers in Little Giant's ear that he can't climb the mountain or cross the desert, but Little Giant serenely goes on his way, overcoming all difficulties. But he can't get rid of Jabber-Jabber until they get to a river full of crocodiles. When Little Giant says they might as well give up and let the crocs eat them, Jabber-Jabber runs away and Little Giant finds his imaginative way across on his own. Wonderful!
