Lucy is older than Tom so she starts school first. Although she is looking forward to it and has new clothes and a satchel, when the big day arrives, she is a little nervous. Tom is bored without Lucy at home, so mum suggests playgroup, and he in turn goes to school with his new bag. Good detail about Lucy's days at big school - good points and bad - and Hughes always lovely, untidy, family pictures are superb.
