It is Baby Duck's first day at school, and she has the jitters. Mum and dad try to be reassuring and tell her that her baby sister isn't big enough or brave enough to go to school. It is only her new school bag with good things in it that pleases Baby Duck, and she dawdles on her way as much as she can. It is Grandpa Duck, who meets her at school, who understands and provides reassurance, and when Baby meets the teacher and a new friend, she faces the day with a song.
