Molly's toys seem welcoming when Sarah comes to play, but Molly refuses to let Sarah have anything to do with them. Mum tries to arbitrate and finally comes up with the solution that there are plenty of bricks so they can each build houses. When the girls discover they need to work together to build one proper house, all is well. The toys are as expressive as the children in this little picture book, and their obvious desire to be loved and shared should help children to accept the inevitable. One can only hope that 'madam' Molly has really learned something; she's a pickle!
