The pack consists of a ring binder containing seven sections of photocopiable sheets. Each section can be used as a whole or in part and thus can be tailored to the needs of a particular child. The seven sections cover such areas as viruses, illness in general with good information about hospitals, feelings of guilt and anger, the child as carer, and bereavement. There is much that is particular to AIDS, such as worries about how friends may react to a parent's illness, who one should talk to, and the life-changes that can come about when one has a sick parent. There is also a good section in the beginning, 'Me and my family', which helps the child and his carer set himself in context. There is space for drawings and writing about feelings on most pages. Black and white illustrations enhance the material which is sensitive and detailed. Must be used with a facilitator.
