A series of letters from a big brother to his baby sister, all made into a scrapbook with lots of pictures drawn in child-like style, as well as supposed photos and things such as a sonogram of the baby before she is born and a picture of her little inked feet. There is quite a bit of text as Mike writes letters to Erica before she is born until she is a year old. We see him move from impatience to excitement at the birth, to doubts later on when he realises she is getting most of the attention. A bit of rivalry with best friend Rishi, who also has a baby sister, and some complaints about Erica's smelly nappies and her messy eating, go along with pride in her growing accomplishments. When she is ill, he worries, and when she almost burns her hand, he is there to stop her. This is a lovely, honest story about what it's like to adjust to a new member of the family.
