In the beginning, we don't know why little penguin is always being asked to be quiet. He likes to drum and bounce and roller skate. When mum suggests he goes outside, he finds friends to romp with and they have a super time. When he must come in again because it rains, he solves the noise problem by jumping with socks on. In the final two pages, we see mum with baby penguin, and it is time for little penguin to ask that the crying baby be quiet. Lots of lovely noise- making ideas! The pictures are simple line drawings with very bright colours filling in.
