Za-za and his family are zebras. The bright, primary colours, basic drawings and hand lettering make this book look like a child's own production. Za-za doesn't see much advantage to the new baby in his family. Mum is always tired; so is dad. The relatives ooh and aah, storytime always seems to be 'later', and a visit to the toy shop must be put off because the baby is hungry. When Za-za demands a cuddle, mum suggests he cuddle the baby - which he does. And to his surprise, he finds he enjoys doing things with him. Then when the baby is in bed, Za-za gets his cuddle and his story.
