As an attention=-getter, this can hardly be bettered. The little boy has decided he's a dog. With small sister Rosie around, no one seems to have time for him. Woofing, begging for walkies, barking at Rosie, digging in the garden, wolfing down Rosie's lunch under the table - all are part of the little boy's day. But Rosie still seems to get all the attention. And mum is cross! Dad has the answer. When they acquire a real dog who needs a home (and it is made clear there's room for only one dog in the family) the little boy decides 'he really is my dog...and I really am his boy'. The illustrations are great fun, including super end papers.
