We meet Matthew in A & E at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. He has hurt his ankle falling from his skateboard, and we see him in the x-ray department, having his broken ankle plastered, being taken to the children's ward, and ultimately having surgery because the break is a bad one. His mum is in constant attendance, and we see in great detail all the people who help Matthew from specialist doctors to cleaners. The information is interestingly presented, and the fact that we follow Matthew all through his treatment helps make it accessible. An excellent choice for the children's ward.
