Tyke's friend Danny, has speech problems and is a slow learner, but with Tyke's help, he manages. At school and at home the term is indeed a 'turbulent' one, but tough Tyke defends Danny through thick and thin, even cheating for him so Danny can pass a test which will allow him into the Comprehensive with Tyke. Warm and very funny, this story presents a child with enormous problems as ordinary and lovable, and the surprise ending turns it into one of the most delightful stories imaginable.
