Winnie the witch and her cat, Wilbur, love to travel by broomstick - until Winnie doesn't see a hang glider; in the ensuing crash, Wilbur's tail gets bent. They try various forms of transport, but Winnie still fails to see the obstacles in the way. When she tries to order tea in an opticians, the lady behind the counter offers glasses instead, and Winnie can see. It's the wonderfully zany Heath Robinson-style pictures that make this very special.
