Baby Duck is not happy about having to wear glasses. She is afraid they will fall off, and she does not look at all like herself in the mirror. But when Grandpa Duck sees her in the park, he is pleased because her glasses are red like his, and he proves to her she can run and splash in the lake like always, and she can also see the splendid surprise he has prepared for her. The lovely illustrations show a cuddly but sad little duck turning into a happy, active one because of her Grandpa's sensitivity. The duck family makes an excellent substitute for a human one. Outstanding.
