Tatiana Kumpf is good at science and she hopes to win first prize at the science fair, but she has a reputation as a quitter, and her friends don't really believe she will finish her project. Besides, William, who is good at everything, always wins. However, Tatty is determined, particularly when she gets to know wheelchair-bound Amy who never lets anything stop her.
