The emphasis here is twofold: first on the fact that everyone is different and that people who use wheelchairs are only different in that way. The second emphasis is on equipment - the different kinds of wheelchairs, learning how to use them, special sports equipment, etc. Using transport, special schools and special adaptations at home are also included. We meet three children who use wheelchairs happily and live full lives. A glossary, a list of books and a list of organizations and their websites will prove helpful.
